All animals are living, breathing, sentient beings.

They deserve our love, respect and protection – and the best chance of a long and healthy life.

With an open heart and keen intuition, respect and understanding;

I am able to build trust and an understanding of your animal friends, to facilitate their health and wellbeing.

Healing for Animals

Working holistically, considering all aspects of an animal’s life; healing can help a wide range of physical and emotional conditions.

I offer a multi-disciplinary approach, combining:

  •  Energy Healing
  •  Sensory & Nutritional Enrichments
  •  Animal Communication
  •  Distant Healing
  •  Massage

My methods promote calm, trust, deep relaxation and physiological balance and wellbeing.  By creating balance and well being, recovery can follow.

I work with domestic pets, horses and wild animals in captivity.

I am a Member of The Healing Animals Organisation (MHAO).  This is a professional qualification, with extensive practical and academic training, continuous assessment and examinations.  I have studied and been examined in energy healing; anatomy & physiology; first aid; nutrition; behaviour; environmental factors; husbandry; health & wellbeing

I am fully qualified; and insured with Balens specialist insurance brokers, for peace of mind and professionalism

Please note: my work is complementary to, not instead of, conventional veterinary treatment

Animal Treatment Options

Energy Healing

Everything is made of energy.  Every molecule within the body is vibrating and releasing energy. Energy Healing realigns and entrains the energy of cells that are out of balance, due to stress, injury or illness.

My work is gentle and creates a great sense of peace, calm, trust and wellbeing.  By bringing the body’s energies back into balance, I help create a positive space in which the body can heal.

Energy Healing works on the physiological systems, calming the fight/flight response by stimulating the Parasympathetic nervous system.  The stress hormones are lowered, so rehabilitation and balance can occur.

Pain (and associated behavioural issues) can be greatly helped by Energy Healing.

Animals that have been ‘holding on to’ their pain, are able ‘let go’ and allow their bodies to relax and heal.

Although working mostly ‘hands off’, the treatments can be stimulating, with sensations like heat and pressure being described by my human clients.  You will clearly observe your animal react and respond to my touch or hands-off energy work.

Anthea came to our home, to provide healing and much needed guidance [for our puppy Angus]. Her intuitive nature and wealth of knowledge, have been invaluable

Distant Healing

Working with photographs and through meditation, I am able to ‘tune-in’ to, and connect with an animal.

Once connected, it is possible to send healing and communication, as it is required or wanted.

This is an art, and I have had some great results with cats dogs and horses, in the UK and overseas.

Animal Communication

Animals, as living breathing sentient beings, like humans, have thoughts, feelings, dreams and emotions.  They communicate with each other, in order to survive in the wild, maintain social groups and to procreate their species.

In addition to body language and vocalisations they also use their silent inner voice.  When working on a deeply intuitive level with animals, it is possible to ‘hear’ their inner voices.

In addition to body language and vocalisations, they also use their silent inner voice.

When working on a deeply intuitive level with animals, it is possible to ‘hear’ these inner voices.

Communicating gives great insight to an animal’s background and current life; highlighting things an owner might not have considered important.

Working 1:2:1 or with photographs and through meditation, I am able to tune-in to an animal, and pick-up thoughts, feelings, and details about their life.

Just like people, some animals are more forthcoming than others.  Some are confident communicators, some are shy.  Some are amazed a human can understand them. Animals communicate with each other in order to survive in the wild, maintain social groups and to procreate their species.

Sensory & Nutritional Enrichment

Healing can take many forms.

Offering nutritional and sensory enrichment to animals so they can ‘self-select’ and ‘self-medicate’ as necessary, is a wonderful route to healing, whilst letting the animal heal itself.

All animals have the innate ability to self-select the nutrients their bodies need.  This goes back to life in the wild, when they could seek out self-medicating plants, soil, salt etc.

Each offering is packed with health-giving plant compounds, vitamins and minerals.  Animals can gain the benefits of these compounds by simply inhaling them, or by tasting and eating them.

Suitable for cats, dogs, horses and wild animals in captivity.

All animals self-select the nutrients their body needs, no more, no less.

All animals have the innate ability to self-select the nutrients their bodies need.

In the wild they can roam freely, to find what they need from salt to soil, and wild plants.

Offering nutritional and sensory enrichment to domestic animals,  is vital; so they too can self-select and self-medicate.

Each offering is packed with health-giving plant compounds, vitamins and minerals.

Animals can gain the benefits of these compounds by inhaling, tasting and/or eating them as they required.

Anthea has a deep empathy, which combined with her training, enables her to connect with your animal on a significant level

Healing for Animals About me

My whole life, animals have been drawn to me, and me to them.  I have always had animals in my life.

Even when traveling overseas, living away from home, or just on holiday, animals always join me for the journey.

My lifelong menagerie has included birds, cats, dogs and horses. To me, life is incomplete without animal company.

They bring unconditional love, support and companionship; and they teach us so much too.  In return, we give them the best we can in food, shelter and love.  Sometimes however, they need us to help them, to be healthy and to heal.

I first realised that I had the ability to heal with energy, whilst I was practicing human massage, over 25 years ago.

Over the years, this innate ability to channel energy and communicate with the animals around me, has developed, to the point where I decided to pursue this skill as a profession.  The animals needed help.

Our beloved animals are living breathing sentient beings, and we owe them the respect they deserve.

A horse with arthritis

I would highly recommend Anthea and her animal healing.

My horse Aqua was in a lot of pain and suffered with Arthritis in her hock.  She underwent treatment such as injections in her legs to cushion the pain; and she was on constant medication to help her, but she still wasn’t 100% right. Aqua was very low and not her normal self at all.

I thought I had ‘lost’ my horse until I met Anthea in April 2019. When everything changed for the better.

Aqua’s journey with animal healing transformed her, she was a different horse!

I noticed her temperament change, as the pain in her hock lifted.  The pain in her back where she had been compensating for the hock, was also relieved.

Aqua became a much happier horse.  She was brighter, full of energy and wanted to enjoy ridden life again (which she hadn’t done for a while).

I commend Anthea for her hard work!  She has given me my horse back, as well as given me the hope, to one day achieve my dreams again with Aqua.

I can’t thank Anthea enough for what she has done for Aqua and for me.

This experience will be something that I will never forget.

Thank you - Katie & Aqua

An elderly terrier

Anthea has a deep empathy, which, combined with her training, enables her to connect with your animal on a significant level. She provided our elderly terrier with several healing sessions, which were of great benefit to her.

Anthea was able to give me insight into her, that was not obvious to me, due to my everyday proximity to her.

I wholeheartedly recommend her to work with your animal.

Pre & Post Operative Care

I heartily recommend Anthea to anyone whose animal has or is about to undergo any form of procedure. My dog Oz was terrified of crates but needed 3 months crate rest after an operation involving bone removal, a plate and a number of screws. Anthea worked with Oz before his operation and within an hour he was happy to spend time in his crate. She also treated him (whilst ensconced in his crate) during his recovery and gave practical tips to supplement (but never interfere with) the regime recommended by his surgeon. Oz has made a full recovery and is just as much of a handful as before. Thank you for your help.

A horse with pain related behavioural issues

During the 2020 Covid-19 Lockdown, I was contacted by a lovely lady named Annalie.

She was desperate to help her young horse Lola; who was suffering with pain and associated behavioural issues.

Always keen to find solutions, I emailed Annalie my consultation form and asked her to complete it as fully as possible and email it back to me.

I researched Lola’s conditions and medications; then meditated on her picture, to find out more about what was going on.  I had two distant healing and communication sessions with Lola, and a long telephone consultation with Annalie, to discuss my findings and suggestions. We then booked a video call, in the paddock.

Here is Annalie’s feedback:

“I don't want to tempt fate but I can't believe how well this little one's doing.

Yesterday I managed to pick-up her front feet for the first time in months, and I gave her a groom at liberty today. This is the first time I've been able to groom her, or be in the field with her at liberty, without getting attacked for at least six months!

We’d had a lovely virtual healing session with the very talented Anthea (Anthea Payne Animal Healing) who's also  been doing some remote healing for Lola - and it seems to be working!”

Newly arrived, European rescue dog

Anthea helped me so much with her unique intuitive connection with my foster dog.

Always able to connect and help me, help him.

Without her support and help, I would not have been confident or able enough, to have made a difference in his 4 week stay with me; readying him for his move to his forever home.

He left being a happy, healthy dog with basic skills engrained and ready for more to be learned.

What she does is awesome.  Not only does she support the animal, but is a gift for the humans involved in their care! (we often need training too!)

If you have any problems understanding your animal, get in touch!

I worked with Sue’s dog, a newly arrived overseas rescue dog.

On several occasions through a photograph, I was able to find out more about him and his needs, which helped his foster carer immensely.  I find that rescue dogs are very keen to communicate, which is very helpful.
