My Animal Healing Voluntary Work

I believe it is very important that wild animals in captivity, be able to access the healing help they require.

From Energy Healing to Nutritional Enrichment and Self-selection of medicinal plants – these animals need help – especially those who have suffered at the hands of humans.

For this reason, I offered my voluntary services to Monkey Haven, a primate rescue centre, here on the Isle of Wight.

I met with Head of Animal Management, Terri Cook, and we just clicked.  She immediately understood what I do; and could see its value for the animals in her care.

As a Volunteer Keeper I have been able to get to know the characters in residence and to understand their environment.

As a volunteer Animal Healer, I am able to bring calm and trust and speed-up the healing process, if they are sick or injured.

Healing takes many forms, and I have been able to utilise my Energy Healing and nutritional enrichment knowledge to help.

I have even used my human massage knowledge for one Gibbon with a kidney infection.  I intuitively gave her gentle reflexology.  For several weeks after her recovery, if she saw me enter her inside enclosure, she would rush in and ask for more healing and reflexology.

Healing Animals Organisation – Isle of Wight

In my capacity as the Isle of Wight representative for the Healing Animals Organisation (HAO), I am assisting Elizabeth Whiter (Principal of HAO) with a ground breaking Primate Sensory Enrichment research project.

The results will have far-reaching implications for primates in captivity around the world, with HAO international outreach programmes.

This ongoing research is taking place at Monkey Haven, Primate Rescue Centre.
